If He Doesn't Want You to Do It, DO IT ANYWAY in paperback

Lydie M Denier

Lydie M. Denier is an accomplished actress and filmmaker whose career spans over eighty television series and feature films. Best known for her roles as Yasmine Bernoudi on General Hospital, Jane in the television series Tarzan, and Nicole in Acapulco H.E.A.T., Lydie has long been celebrated for her charisma, elegance, and emotional depth on screen. On stage, she portrayed the legendary Greta Garbo in the title role of a critically acclaimed theatrical production, bringing timeless sophistication and humanity to the part. Born in the French countryside, Lydie grew up enchanted by classic American cinema, dreaming of one day joining the world that flickered before her on screen. Her path has taken her across continents and cultures, enriching her perspective and fueling her passion for authentic storytelling. Today, Lydie continues to balance her acting career with her work as a filmmaker, writer, and executive producer. She just completed filming the web series Necessary Evil, while also developing new creative projects that explore themes of love, loss, memory, and resilience – a natural evolution of her lifelong fascination with the human spirit. As a filmmaker, she is dedicated to mentoring emerging talent and helping young storytellers bring their visions to life. Her directorial debut, Unforgotten Box, marks the beginning of this new creative chapter – a deeply personal documentary that blends memory and emotion through an intimate cinematic lens. When she isn’t on set, writing, or directing, Lydie can often be found in her kitchen, cooking with the same artistry and passion she brings to film. She also hosts Breaking Bread with Lydie Denier on her YouTube channel, where food, conversation, and creativity meet at the same table.

Her second book, If He Doesn’t Want You to Do It — Do It Anyway is a bold, unapologetic guide to reclaiming your voice, your choices, and your power. With wit, honesty, and heart, Lydie M. Denier encourages women to stop waiting for permission and start living on their own terms. Part manifesto, part workbook, this empowering book challenges the beliefs, pressures, and relationship dynamics that too often keep women small.
